Barolo Ristorante, offers a European atmosphere and a unique spin on authentic Italian cuisine. Located in Joliet, Illinois, Barolo's menu offers authentic Italian dishes, paired with New World cuisine - cuisine with unique flavors and ingredients from across the world. Our menu is imaginative. Your food is lovingly prepared and beautifully plated to please the most discriminating palates.

We serve fresh, homemade pastas,and fresh seafood which is flown in daily. Spices play a big role in our kitchen and add to the rich flavors of our recipes," said Chef Turi.

Barolo is one of the most noble wines of Italy. Produced in Cuneo's province, south-west of Alba, Barolo is considered the "King" of wines. Barolo Ristorante offers an outstanding selection of Italian wines. Patrons can enjoy a select wine at the comfortable bar before entering the dining room.

Chef Guy

Chef and Owner Gaetano (Guy) Turi was born in Bari, Italy. He has over 35 years of experience in the restaurant business. Guy received formal training at the Italian Culinary School in Rome, in the art of Italian, Mediterranean, and French cooking.

Guy worked as a chef in Italy for ten years before returning to America. In America, Guy was the executive chef for restaurants in Miami, Dallas, Addison, and Oakbrook. Reaching for new heights, Chef Guy challenges his culinary creativity by developing new, enticing recipes for Barolo. Stop back often to enjoy the many wonderful dishes meticulously prepared by Chef Guy Turi.

Dinner

Once you dine at Barolo’s, you’ll come back frequently to discover new taste sensations from Northern and Southern Italy. Fresh seafood is flown in daily. Entrees such as Filet Melissa, Veal Scaloppini Asparagus, New York Strip Tuscany, and Orange Roughy St. Francis are featured on the dinner menu. We recommend reservations for weekend dining. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday from 5 pm to 9 pm and Friday through Saturday from 5 pm to 11 pm. All major credit cards are accepted. A Children's Menu is available.

Rialto Square Theatre

Barolos is located just down the block from the beautiful Rialto Square Theatre. Because of this, we encourage diners to make reservations on show nights.

Lunch

Barolo is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11am to 2 pm. Chicken Vermouth , Grilled Salmon and Pennette, Orange Roughy Amalfi, Stone Crab Ravioli in Roasted Garlic Cream Sauce and Veal Tosca, are favorite lunch items. A Children's Menu is available.

Catering and Banquets

The Wine Cellar, is able to rent for parties. This charming, comfortable room, located in the lower level of Barolo, can accommodate 60 people. Our entire restaurant and Wine Cellar can be reserved for larger parties of 120 people. We provide catering services for offsite private parties and special events such as wedding receptions, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.

Keep your eyes open! Celebrities often stop by Barolo after their performance for a bite to eat or a nightcap. You might get a glimpse of your favorite movie star or musician.

Recently, you may have seen Tony Bennett (photo at top), Brad Garrett (photo on right), Eddie Money, Glen Campbell, Lily Tomlin or the band Los Lobos dining in our fine restaurant!

Barolo Ristorante is conveniently located in Joliet's City Center on Chicago Street across from the library, 1/2 block from the historic Rialto Square Theatre and one block from Harrah's Casino.
